Deacon John W. Sheehan, Sr. of Massapequa Park, NY passed away on July 17, 2014 just prior to his 80th year. Loving husband of Barbara J. Sheehan and devoted father of Mary Elizabeth (John) and John W., Jr. (Anne) Cherished grandfather of Kate and Andrew Goldin & Daniel and Mary Sheehan. Reposing Thursday evening 7-9:30 pm and Friday 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 pm at the Powell Funeral Home, Inc., 67 Broadway (Rt. 110), Amityville. Funeral Mass Saturday 9:30 am St. Martin of Tours R.C. Church, Amityville. Interment with Naval Military Honors to follow at St. Charles Cemetery. The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Martin of Tours Parish Outreach. Envelopes available at the funeral home.
