My first memory of my very young Uncle JC and Aunt Margie was when I was so small his hunting dog's tail wipped me on my face. JC would do hand stands on the top of our jungle gym in our back yard. I remember my mom and dad took us to Nana and Grandpa's in Brooklyn on weekends where we would see JC, Margie, Aunt Cassie and Uncle Marion. My Slack cousins are all in my heart and memories at this time. My dad wrote that he was going to see his family in heaven when he died. I hope my dad is there with all our loved ones laughing and being there for your dad. Love from Massachusetts Barbara Slack Meyer

I will miss you Uncle JC. You were my very own, personal John Wayne. I always knew that Uncle Joe would be there to rescue me if I ever needed him. What an amazing man and a unique individual. My father (Bill) was always proud of his youngest brother for the way he made being a Slack, something to be proud of. Our whole family is stronger and better for having been loved by him. Rest In Peace, Uncle JC.
