Just, Joseph F. (Yushkowski) of Amityville, L.I. on April 2, 2012. Former Altar Boy at St. George's R.C. Church, Brooklyn. All City football player (fullback) at Boys City H.S. and received a football scholarship to NYU. Proud Army veteran of WW II serving with the 41st Infantry Division, the first American troops in Australia, New Guinea and the Philippine Islands. Mr. Just retired from the NYFD with the rank of Lieutenant, serving with Engine Co.289, Bedford Stuyvesant. He was also a world traveler and an agent for TWA. His love of music carried over to the playing of the saxophone, clarinet and violin. Beloved husband of the late June. Loving father of Lawrence (Anita), Judy and the late Joseph L. Just. Cherished grandfather of Joseph A. Just. Reposing Thursday 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 P.M. at the Powell Funeral Home, Inc., 67 Broadway (Rt. 110), Amityville. Funeral service Friday 9:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment with military honors at Calverton National Cemetery.
