Martinez, Jose M., Sr. of Lindenhurst, L.I. passed away on October 31, 2011 after a long illness. Detective Investigator for The Bronx District Attorney's Office. Beloved husband of Margo E. Loving father of Jose M. Martinez, Jr.(Dawn), Michael S. Martinez (Susan) and Michelle M. Gonzales. Cherished grandfather of Analicia M. Gonzales, Derik M. Gonzales, Mikaele S. Martinez, Milan S. Martinez, Mia S. Martinez and Mikenzie S. Martinez. Dear brother of Carlos Martinez, Carmen Ana Martinez and Carmen Maria Fahn. Jose had many things he enjoyed doing, particularly his participation in Career Days held in the Copiague Schools and various schools in The Bronx. Reposing Wednesday evening 7-9:30 P.M. & Thursday 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 P.M. at the Powell Funeral Home, Inc., 67 Broadway (Rt. 110), Amityville. Funeral services Friday 11:00 A.M. 1st United Methodist Church, 25 Broadway, Amityville. Cremation will be private. The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association. Envelopes available at the funeral home.
