James Michael Tarasenko a proud veteran of the US Coast Guard died Tuesday, November 27, 2018 in West Babylon, LI. Dear son of the late Michael and Audrey. Loving brother of  Janet E. Thomson and Shirley Reed. Fond uncle of James Thomson (Christina),  Erik Thomson (Laurie), Michael Reed (Jillian) and David Reed. Great uncle to Ava, Aidan, Evan, and Alexander Thomson. He is also survived by his cousins. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 2, 2018 at the funeral home from 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 pm. A prayer service will be conducted at 7:30 pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Monday, December 3, 2018 at 10:30 am, the Reverend Sandy Koppmann, Pastor, First United Methodist Church, Amityville officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Calverton National Cemetery.
