Lehneis, Josephine “Josie” K. - of Amityville, NY on April 7, 2024. Beloved mother of Richard Lehneis (Susan), Alfred Lehneis (Susan), and Roger Lehneis (Jacqueline). Cherished grandmother of Christopher, Justine, Alex, the late Jacklyn, Natalie & Emily. Loving great grandmother of Leonardo. Josephine Immigrated to Chattanooga Tennessee from Frankfurt Germany when she was 21 years old. She had two of her sons there before moving to Long Island, New York where she had her third son. Josephine loved gardening, entertaining and loved to laugh. She also worked in the family business of prosthetics and orthotics. Josephine will be missed. Reposing Wednesday 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Powell Funeral Home, 67 Broadway (Rte.110), Amityville, NY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, April 11, 2024, 9:30 am, at St. Martin of Tours RC Church, Amityville, NY. Cremation will be private. Donation may be made in Josephine’s name to St. Jude’s Childrens Research Hospital. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral Home.
