MARCOTTE - Leo R., of Massapequa, LI on February 6, 2024 at the age of 90 after a long illness. Proud Air Force Veteran and educator in the Massapequa School District. Loving husband of Patricia. Devoted father of Mary (Edward), Thomas (Milee), Kathleen (Kieran), Michael, Stephen (Margaret), Rosemarie (John), Daniel (Patricia) and the late James. A cherished grandfather and great-grandfather, he was blessed with 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Leo is also survived by his sister Joan and brother Ronald. Dear stepfather to Stephen and Patrick Reid and the late Barbara Thomas. Leo was active in Birthright and St. Martin of Tours R.C. Church Consolation Ministry. He also served as director of Ameri-Feast India. Leo was a good man who lived a life of service. He was loved and will be missed. The family will receive friends Friday 2-4:30 and 7-9:30 pm at the Powell Funeral Home, Inc., 67 Broadway (Rt. 110), Amityville. Wake Prayers will be conducted at 3:00 pm. Funeral Mass Saturday 10:30 am in St. Martin of Tours R.C. Church, Amityville. Interment with Military Honors to follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale.
