Obituary of Joan P. Warden

A Brooklyn New York native, Joan was born in 1927 and moved to
Amityville in 1931.  She was an avid athlete, winning the 2003 US
Doubles Tennis Championship.  She loved the beach, socializing and was
a passionate bridge player. Joan moved to Hilton Head Island, South
Carolina in 1997 where she continued to live a rich and fulfilling
life.  She is preceded in death by her husband Ed Warden and is
survived by her son Alfred H. Heckel, III, her daughters Christine
Ronback, Liz Carlisle, and Margret Warden, many grandchildren and 2
great grandchildren.  She passed away peacefully December 7, 2023.
She was adored by all.

Visiting for Joan Warden will be held at Powell Funeral Home, 67
Broadway, Amityville, New York on Thursday December 14, 2023, 5:30 to
8:30. A graveside service will be conducted Friday, December 15, 2023 at 11:00 am in the Amityville Cemetery.

 

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be
made to Hospice Care of the Lowcountry, 7 Planation Park Drive,
Bluffton, SC  29910.
