Words can't adequately express how saddened we felt to hear about David. We remember him with fondness during the fun times at his parents July 4th celebrations in Amityville and other events enjoyed with both sides of our family. Our loving thoughts are with Dottie, Mary Jane and David's siblings during this painful time. God bless and comfort them, now and always.

I had the pleasure of coming to know Dave courtesy of my father's friendship with him. No matter what he was doing, Dave would always stop over to check in on us whenever he knew we were at our boat with his usual cheery, "Hey guys! Need any help?" That's just the way he was, always concerned about everyone else. He'd give you the shirt off his back even if it inconvenienced him. When Dave gave you his word, he could be trusted to follow through. A gentle giant, everyone who knew Dave adored, respected, and cared deeply for him. People looked up to him. I was one of them. He was the shoulder everyone leaned on. If someone needed help with something, Dave could always be relied upon to give them a hand. Never asked for anything in return. The vast expanse of knowledge he held was amazing. His mechanical aptitude was uncanny - he could diagnose issues off the top of his head with just a description. He definitely was one in a million and it was an honor to call this man a friend. I can say I am a better person because I was blessed to know him. For that I am humbly grateful. I know angels exist because I knew Dave.
There are no words adequate enough to convey the sorrow in my heart upon hearing of his passing. Wishing love, comfort, and strength to the Woznick family, and to the rest of us who knew and loved Dave.
