Daniel Day was the highlight of the month for me. I always looked forward to spending time with my nephew. When he was younger, Dane used to put Daniel on the bean bag and I was curl up next to him, hold his hand, and we'd both take a nap. Sometimes, I would wake up first and I would just lie next to him - taking those few extra moments to snuggle and be with Daniel. Other times, he would wake up before me and make noises and hit me until I woke up. I would sit up and give him a kiss on the cheek. That was our special moment - Auntie Ta and Daniel time. As he got older and a bit heavier to move, I would sit next to him, lean in close and talk to him. When I was pregnant with my son, I sat next to Daniel and told him that he was getting a new baby cousin and one day soon enough, I would show up up with baby boy. I love the way Daniel would listen and occasionally respond - either by smiling, laughing, or occasionally shaking his head. I love my nephew and I will miss our special moments.
