
Obituary of James K. Johnson
James K. Johnson of Amityville died April 3, 2023 after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Past Chief of the Amityville Fire Department. Former Executive Director of the Suffolk County Fire Academy. He is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years Marion (Marcley). His sister, Joanne Worsley (Richard) and brother, Ed Johnson (Pat). His Mother-In-Law Alma Hurlburt. Sisters-In-Law, Sue Spadaro (Ron), Ann Dunn (Sandy), Marcella Marcley (Greg Weegar), Amy Fulford (Greg), Alison Belkin (Josh), Brothers-In-Law, John Marcley (Mabel) and the late Robert Marcley (Charlyn). Adored Uncle of 20 nieces and nephews and 21 grand nieces and nephews. Reposing Monday evening, April 10, 2023, 7-9:30 pm. Wake prayers will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. by Deacon Richard Ferri. Visiting will continue on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 pm at the funeral home. Amityville Fire Deparment services Tuesday evening 8:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by the Reverend Gerard Gordon, Pastor, Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 9:30 a.m., in St. Martin of Tours RC Church, Amityville. Interment to follow in Trinity Cemetery, Amityville. Please consider a memorial donation in Jim's name to the St. Martin of Tours RC Church Parish Outreach or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society as an alternative to flowers. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
