Frances Tedesco

Born in Brooklyn on March 23, 1928. The daughter of Rosario and Carmela (Cardinale) Giarrusso.

Predeceased by her loving husband Dominick Tedesco.

Frances most enjoyed family gathering on weekends and holidays and delighted in vacation travel with Dominick, family and friends.  After many years as a homemaker Frances became a Teacher Aide for the Amityville School District.  During her 23 year career she developed a love and respect for students and staff and they in turn loved and respected Frances.  Frances was the coordinator, founder and President of the Amityville Teacher Aide union.

Frances is survived by her sons Robert (Barbara) Tedesco and Richard (Sharon) Tedesco and her daughter Toni (James) Klein, her sister Linda Galizio, grandchildren Lyndsey (Leo) Mokhiber, Jacquelyn (Rocco) Archina, Candice (Michael) McClung, Kathryn (Anthony) Abbate and many great grandchildren. Frances was also predeceased by her brother Roy Giarrusso.

The family would like to thank the staff on B2 at Van Rensselaer Manor for their wonderful care and compassion throughout Mom’s final years

The family will receive friends Friday, August 12, 2022 from 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 pm at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, August 13, 2022 by Monsignor Thomas Costa at 10:30 am in St. Martin of Tours RC Church, Amityville. Interment will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park.
