Salvatore La Mendola of Massapequa, LI on December 23, 2021. Beloved husband of Carol. Loving father of Michael (Nancy Dybus) and John La Mendola. Cherished grandfather of Eric, Anna and Colton La Mendola. The family will receive friends Monday, December 27th from 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 pm at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, December 28th at 9:30 am in St. Martin of Tours RC Church, Amityville. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY. As an alternative to flowers, the family has suggested memorial contributions to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project.
