I met Mrs. Jessup in 1995 after moving to New York. She was a sweet, shy, food -generous woman. It wasn’t long before I tasted her legendary pound cakes, which were always quickly and deliciously consumed by me and my coworkers! She was a Southern cook, so anything she made was delicious, and she poured her love into it. Mrs. Jessup was a wonderful mother, grandmother and wife — devoted, loving, loyal and kind. I don’t think she realized her magnificence, not a surprise given her humble spirit. Those who know and love her are well aware of it, and we are all missing her deeply. Her 5 sons should be proud of their efforts to take care of their mom since their dad’s passing last year. Any parent would be proud of the love and care you bestowed upon her. I wish you all peace and strength as you endure this grief. I know it’s not easy and pray that the Lord’s grace and mercy will meet the multitude of prayers coming your way and that you will feel our love during your darkest moments. Rest In Peace and glory Mrs. Jessup.
Love, Tracy
