Obituary of Kathleen "Kitty" Dillon Doherty

Doherty Geiger, Kathleen “Kitty” of Jupiter, Florida (formerly of Massapequa, New York) passed away peacefully at home after a long illness on March 19, 2021. Much loved daughter to the late Tom and Peggy Dillon of Delray Beach, Florida. Beloved wife to the late John A. Doherty, then to the late Vincent B. Geiger. Loving mother to Patricia Conte (Steve), John Doherty (Laura), Kelly Sheehan (Joe), and Thomas Doherty (Kelly). Cherished Mema to Meghan, Brenna, Joey, John, Brian, Jack and Connor. Devoted feline companions Duffy and Boo. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends, and her devoted caregiving team Huguette, Prophete, Rosita, Mary, Holly and the entire Vitas staff. Heaven has gained an angel. All CDC recommended guidelines will apply to everyone entering the building; face coverings must be worn at all times, social distancing throughout the premises, limited physical contact and interaction. Because of the limited capacity regulations (50% which equals 63 people at a time in the chapel/building at Powell Funeral Home, Inc.) as set by New York State, we ask that all visitors limit their time with the family so as to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to pay their respects. As people vacate the building, additional mourners will be permitted to enter.
