Obituary of John A. Gustaffsen

John A. Gustaffsen of Amityville, Li on February 4, 2021. Beloved husband of Patricia. Loving father of Eileen Grumet (Scott), Sherry Campbell (Chris) and John A. Gustaffsen, Jr. (Shannon). Cherished grandfather of Thomas Grumet, Jennifer Grumet, Ryan Campbell, Connor Campbell, Megan Gustaffsen and J.D. Gustaffsen. Dear Brother of Robert Gustaffsen. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 7-9:30 pm at the funeral home. A Prayer Service will be celebrated by the Reverend Dr. Robert C. Leibold, Pastor, Simpson United Methodist Church at 9:00 pm. Following a brief prayer at the funeral home Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 10:00 am, interment with Military Honors will take place in Pinelawn Memorial Park, E. Farmingdale. All CDC recommended guidelines will apply to everyone entering the building; face coverings must be worn at all times, social distancing throughout the premises, limited physical and interaction. Because of the limited capacity regulations (33% which equals 45 people at a time in the chapel at Powell Funeral Home, Inc.) as set by New York State, we ask that all visitors limit their time with the family so as to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to pay their respects. As people vacate the building, additional mourners will be permitted to enter.
