Obituary of Deborah E. Maher

Deborah E. Maher of Amityville, LI suddenly on January 29, 2021. Beloved daughter of the late John J. and Frances E. Maher. Loving companion of the late Gerald Truitt. Dear sister of Joseph R., Richard A. and Thomas Maher (Janine Zarrilli). Cherished aunt of Angela Maher, Jessica Martin (Geran), the late Richard, Jason, Johanna, Joshua and Jonathan Maher. Adored great aunt of Thomas, Jaiden, Ean, Derrick and Chase. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 6, 2021, 11:30 am - 12:30 pm at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 12:30 pm. Interment to follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park. All CDC recommended guidelines will apply to everyone entering the building; face coverings must be worn at all times, social distancing throughout the premises, limited physical and interaction. Because of the limited capacity regulations (33% which equals 45 people at a time in the chapel at Powell Funeral Home, Inc.) as set by New York State, we ask that all visitors limit their time with the family so as to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to pay their respects. As people vacate the building, additional mourners will be permitted to enter.
