Obituary of Patrick Russo

Patrick Russo, retired Sergeant from the NY City Police Department, on January 4, 2021. Beloved husband of Carole Ann. Loving father of Jennifer Russo, Patricia Miller (Harold), Cathy Russo (Jamie Rookwood) and Joanne Russo (Max Umanskiy) Cherished grandfather of Juliana, Alexander, Lillian and Alexander Patrick. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, January 7, 2021, from 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 pm. Wake prayers will be held at 8:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, January 8, 2021, at St. William the Abbot RC Church, 2000 Jackson Ave., Seaford. Cremation will be private. The family has suggested, as an alternative to flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude's Childrens' Hospital, Wounded Warrior Project or the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. All CDC recommended guidelines will apply to everyone entering the building; face coverings must be worn at all times, social distancing throughout the premises, limited physical and interaction. Because of the limited capacity regulations (33% which equals 40 people at a time in the chapel at Powell Funeral Home, Inc.) as set by New York State, we ask that all visitors limit their time with the family so as to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to pay their respects. As people vacate the building, additional mourners will be permitted to enter.
