Ida Nichols AKA Cookie June 12, 1968 – December 26, 2020 Ida Nichols AKA Cookie was born on June 12, 1968 in Queens, NY to Mary Nichols. She departed this life on December 26, 2020 in her sleep at home in Dallas, Georgia. Cookie was raised in South Jamaica Queens, NY by her mother and her grandparents. Cookie attended public school; P.S. 123Q, JHS, 210 and Andrew Jackson High School. Cookie completed her studies to become a para legal. Cookie worked various jobs throughout her life. Cookie worked as a SR Underwriter at Members Mortgage prior to becoming disabled in 2009. But the most rewarding and fulfilling job was parenting her daughter, Persephoine and being a grandmother to Ja’Ceon. Cookie’s favorite past times were playing pinnacle, reading books, listening to R & B music, keeping in contact with friends and family and being on Facebook. Cookie is preceded in death by her mother Mary Nichols, brother Johnny Bernard Nichols, grandparents Louise and Amos Coleman and Aunt Viola Nichols. Cookie is survived by her daughter Persephoine Murray, her grandson Ja’Ceon Martin, three sisters Valerie Greene, Marica Nichols and Tamika Nichols, one aunt Martha Craft (Honey), one uncle Lorenzo Nichols, three nieces Pamela & Alicia Greene, Olena Nicks, two nephews, Wyneil and Terrance Coleman, two great nieces, Ayanna Pearl and Nia Coleman, one great nephew, Corey Coleman and a host of cousins and close personal friends.
