Obituary of John Plevritis

Please share a memory of John to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
John Plevritis of Lindenhurst, LI (Former Proprietor of the Sea Haven Restaurant) suddenly on November 10, 2020. Beloved son of the late Paul and Pauline Plevritis. Loving brother of Zac Plevritis. Dear brother in law of Deirdre Plevritis. Cherished uncle of Paul, Niko and James Plevritis. Long time friend of Otto and Nancy Chan, through college and their love of the NY Jets. John was loved and will be missed by all of his friends. The family will receive friends Friday, November 13, 2020 at the funeral home from 2-4:30 and 7-9:30 pm. A Funeral Service will be celebrated Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 10:00 am by Father Demetrious Kazakis in St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 200 Great East Neck Rd., West Babylon. Interment will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park. All CDC recommended guidelines will apply to everyone entering the building; face coverings must be worn at all times, social distancing throughout the premises, limited physical and interaction. Because of the limited capacity regulations (33% which equals 40 people at a time in the chapel at Powell Funeral Home, Inc.) as set by New York State, we ask that all visitors limit their time with the family so as to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to pay their respects. As people vacate the building, additional mourners will be permitted to enter.
