Obituary of Joseph J. Segreto

Joseph James Segreto of Amityville on October 30, 2020. Beloved husband of Nancy. Proud Dad of Guilio (Melissa), Kimberly (Michael)and Joseph(Kristin). Cherished Grandpa of Jessica, Nicole, Jayden, Joseph, Harrison and Kara. Dear brother of Anthony(Cathy). Loving Brother-In-Law of Linda, Joyce, Susan, Michael and Fran. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Joseph was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. and graduated from Xaverian HS. Joe served in the US Navy and is a Vietnam veteran. He is a 3 time cancer survivor. Joseph is a retired Computer programmer. He was Vice President of PACE Applied Technology in Manassas, Virginia. A world traveler, Joe was an avid SCUBA diver. He also loved hiking , backpacking and skiing. He was active in his community, currently serving as President of the Board of Hidden Lake Estates. Donations may be made in Joseph's name to Memorial Sloan Kettering, envelopes will be provided at the funeral home or visit mskcc.org. All CDC recommended guidelines will apply to everyone entering the building; face coverings must be worn at all times, social distancing throughout the premises, limited physical and interaction. Because of the limited capacity regulations (33% which equals 40 people at a time in the chapel at Powell Funeral Home, Inc.) as set by New York State, we ask that all visitors limit their time with the family so as to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to pay their respects. As people vacate the building, additional mourners will be permitted to enter.
