Obituary of Gregory Thomas Schmitt

Gregory Thomas Schmitt of Lindenhurst, LI on October 16, 2020. Beloved husband of Jacalyn M. Loving father of Alexa. Dear brother of the late Barbara Ferreri (Dennis). Mr. Scmitt is also survived by his extended family. The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 20, 2020 and Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm both days. A funeral service will be celebrated at the funeral home by Deacon Pat Labella Wednesday evening at 8:15 pm. Cremation will be private. All CDC recommended guidelines will apply to everyone entering the building; face coverings must be worn at all times, social distancing throughout the the premises, limited physical contact and interaction. Because of the limited capacity regulations (33% which equals 40 people at a time in the chapel at Powell Funeral Home, Inc.), as set by New York State, we ask that all visitors limit their time with the family so as to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to pay their respects.
