Bernadette M. Griffin of West Babylon, LI on October 15, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Thomas F. Loving mother of Thomas F. Griffin, Jr., Bernadette Bartlett (Al), Robert Griffin (Barbara), Gary Griffin (Lorena), Michael Griffin (Donna), Timothy Griffin (Fran), Laura Heacox (Frank) and Barbara Hetey (John). Mrs. Griffin is also survived by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her 12 siblings. The family will receive friends Monday, October 19, 2020 from 2:00-4:30 & 7:00-9:30 pm at the funeral home. Wake prayers will be conducted at 8:00 pm Monday evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, October 20, 2020 by Monsignor Thomas Costa at 9:30 am in St. Martin of Tours RC Church, Amityville. Entombment will follow in St. Charles Cemetery. All CDC recommended guidelines will apply to everyone entering the building: face coverings must be worn at all times, social distancing throughout the premises, limited physical contact and interaction. Because of the limited capacity regulations (33% which equals 40 people at a time in the chapel at Powell Funeral Home, Inc.) as set by New York State, we ask that all visitors limit their time with the family so as to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to pay their respects. As people vacate the building, additional mourners will be permitted to enter.
