Obituary of Robert C. Lander

Lander Robert C., 96, of Massapequa Park on June 26, 2020 Cherished husband to the late Marjorie. Loving father to Steven, Harriet, Jacqueline, Dorothy, Robert, Constance and the late Marjorie. Beloved Grandfather to Brooke, Jessica, Kimberly, Allison, Meghan, Victoria and Jennifer. Adored great grandfather to Alaina, Lily, Kayden and Hope. Born in Brooklyn, NY December, 1923, he graduated St. Johns Prep and enrolled in the Marines June 26, 1943; he fought with the Fifth Marine Division on Iwo Jima. He returned to Adelphi College, joined the telephone company and finished his career with the telephone division of the Electricians Union. He will best be remembered for his kindness and support of friends and co-workers, love of family and strong catholic beliefs. He raised his family and lived in the same house in Massapequa park for 64 years He will me missed At the present time, due to the gathering restrictions during the COVID 19 pandemic, only 40 people are allowed in the building at any one time.
