Geraldine Lennon passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family in Punta Gorda, Florida at the age of 101.  She was a devoted wife and loving mother, and a longtime resident of Amityville. Geraldine is survived by her son, Ralph and his wife Sherri; and her daughter, Patricia and her husband Michael Loesekann; along with four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. to the late John Kenny and Helen Kearney on October 30, 1918, grew up in Amityville and married, Clifford F. Lennon, Sr. in St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in 1940.  They lived in Amityville and raised their three children.  She became the quintessential homemaker, who prided herself on keeping her home and garden beautiful.  Her happiest moments are cherished times at home surrounded by family.  She had a passion for oil and watercolor painting, which she loved to share with all.  During the summer months, the family enjoyed the seashore and boating on the Great South Bay.  When her husband was awarded a business transfer, they moved to Maryland for five years, and then to Louisiana for next five years.  After her husband had passed away, Geraldine returned back to Amityville to make her residency.  Eventually, she moved to Florida to be closer to her children.

The family will hold a private celebration of life with a mass held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Punta Gorda, Florida.  Burial will be private.  Powell Funeral Home will inter her at Trinity Cemetery in Amityville.
