Dear Mary Catherine, Cheryl and JIm
Our deepest sympathy to you on the death of your Dad
Woof worked with him for about 35 years since Jim started his business and knew him as a hard working, honest man with great compassion for those who were in trouble or who had made a mistake. He believed in giving people second chances (and third or fourth chances too).
He freely gave a helping hand to those he worked for and with sharing not only his knowledge and time but also his equipment.
He forgave many a debt and freely and graciously worked for those who needed but could not afford his work. Jimmy also always shared his knowledge about trucks and equipment.
He was proud of both his children and his extended family and, if asked, would talk at length about them.
Many a customer knew his family in the early years from when Cheryl and the kids would accompany Jim to the job sites...even on night service calls followed by a visit to a diner for something to eat regardless of the time of day or night.
Jim had a shy kind of smile and will be remembered as a man of personal charm and compassion...the kind of man our world needs more of.
We will continue to pray for him and all his loved ones.
With much love and sadness.
