Alfred A. D'Avolio of Massapequa, LI died Saturday, July 13, 2019. Al was a proud Army veteran, having served during the Korean Conflict and remaining in the service for 20+ years. He then had a career in publishing, working for the Hearst Corp. in New York City as Head of the Mail Department. Beloved husband for 58 years of Helen. Loving father of James D'Avolio, Elisa Kurgic, the late James D'Avolio and the late Barbara Kilduff. Cherished grandfather of Miles and Jordan Kurgic, Giavanna and Arianna D'Avolio. Dear brother of Donald D'Avolio and the late John D'Avolio. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at the funeral home from 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at 9:30 am in St. Martin of Tours RC Church, Amityville. Interment with Military Honors will follow in St. Charles Cemetery.
