Joan Mary Jacobsen a 64+ year resident of Massapequa, LI died surroundeed by her family, Tuesday, November 27, 2018. Beloved wife of 51 years to the late Norman H. Loving mother of Daniel R. Jacobsen (Karen E.), Diane V. Karam (Joseph E.) the late Christian N. Jacobsen (Catherine) and Manami Ketring. Cherished grandmother of Joanna, Kierstan (Pat), Timothy, Gabriella (John), Samantha, Hayley, Ann, Meghan, Hannah and Michael. Dear sister of the late Robert Faller. Mrs. Jacobsen was a Committee Chairperson in Troop 284 and a recipient of the prestigious Silver Fawn Award, a national award given by the Boy Scouts of America.The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, November 30, 2018 from 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, December 1, 2018, at 9:45 am in Maria Regina RC Church, Seaford. Interment to follow in St. Charles Cemetery. The family has requested that memorials be considered, as an alternative to flowers, to Boy Scout Troop 284, 69 Richmond Ave., Amityville, NY 11701. Envelopes available at the funeral home.
