Dorothy H. Monahan, 87 of Amityville, NY went to eternal rest on October 21st, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Loving Mother of Margaret, Kathryn McPartland , Robert and David. Predeceased by her children Diane Mucciolo and Thomas Monahan (Lisa). Cherished and Loving Grandmother of Matthew Mucciolo, Meghan Dell'Isola (Christopher), John, Brendan and Christopher Monahan. Fond Mother-In-Law to Lawrence McPartland, Jennifer Monahan and Lisa Monahan. Dorothy was born in New York City to George and Mary DeFino. Dorothy also leaves behind her loving sister Lorraine Flecha. Dorothy worked for many years for Dr. Peter C. Zervalis as his office assistant. Dorothy was known to be very generous to her family, and also to friends. She loved to cook and hosted many holidays where her Italian cooking was the highlight of the event. Reposing Sunday October 28th from 2-4:30 PM and 7-9:30 PM at the Powell Funeral Home, Inc. 67 Broadway (Rt.110) Amityville.
