Obituary of William Walter Matysuk

Matysuk, William Walter of Amity Harbor passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 2, 2011. Loving and special husband of Marilyn. Loving son of Lydia Houston and the late Walter Matysuk. Brother of Marie Doyle, Thomas Houston, Roby Houston and Peter Matysuk. Brother in law to Roni Houston, Anthony Rerecich, Arthur & Jane Rerecich and Joyce Matysuk. Much loved uncle to Allison, Christine & Michael Rerecich, Jennifer and Robert Houston, Katie, Jenna and Jimmy Doyle, Michael, Christopher, Ashley & Peter, Jr. Devoted "Daddy" to Chewy and Poopsie and cherished friend and dedicated fishing buddy to all. Billy was an avid fisherman who caught many big ones from Jones Inlet. He enjoyed Sundays at Gilgo Beach and being captain of his two boats, No Tacks and Little No Tacks. He's in Heaven now eating all the Oreo's he can find and drinking his Red Bull. The family will receive friend Saturday 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 P.M. at the Powell Funeral Home, Inc., 67 Broadway (Rt. 110), Amityville. Service of Remembrance 9:00 P.M. Cremation will be private.
