Please share a memory of Dorothy (Doreen) to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Dorothy (Doreen) E. Cacioppo, went to heaven surrounded by her family on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 after battling breast cancer for almost a decade. She was 65. Doreen’s life was centered on her family and friends and she inspired us all. She kept her unique sense of humor all the way to the end of her courageous fight, focusing on the loved ones she left behind more so than her illness. Throughout everything, Doreen always kept a positive outlook on life and took great joy in the all moments big and small spent with her loved ones. She had an unshakable faith and was an active parishioner of St. Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church in Amityville. Doreen is survived by her loving husband of 38 years Steven, her three children Michael (Katie), Kristen (Dave) and Kimberly as well as her two greatest joys, grandsons Ben and Charlie. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to Sloan Kettering Memorial Hospital
