Dolores Mary Lowe, 89, of Amityville, L.I. died peacefully at home Tuesday, October 20, 2009. Beloved wife of the late Edward J. Lowe, Chief , Amityville Police Dept. Loving mother of Edward J. Lowe of Huntington,NY, former Newsday and current South Bay columnist, and the late William Francis Lowe. Cherished grandmother of Theresa Christine Marino of Amity Harbor, Colleen Ann Smith of Wales, MA, James Edward Lowe of Fort Lauderdale, Fl and Daniel Phillip Lowe of Amityville, NY. Adored great grandmother of Shannon Spollen, Andrew Marino and Jessica Marino. The family will receive friends Thursday 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 P.M. at the Powell Funeral Home, Inc., 67 Broadway (Rt. 110), Amityville. Funeral Mass Friday 10:30 A.M. St. Martin of Tours R.C.
