Obituary of Donald A. Cardwell

Donald Andrews Cardwell of Massapequa, L.I. on November2, 2009. Born in Flatbush, Brooklyn on March 10, 1915, he was the only child of Allen Donald and Marguerite Hubbell Cardwell. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Elizabeth Caney Cardwell. Mr. Cardwell is survived by his daughters, Mary E. Cardwell, Lucy H. Cardwell and Allaire C. Sheehy, and his son, Allen Donald Cardwell, two grandchildren, Julianne E. Sheehy and Brian A. Sheehy, siblings, Claribel A. Newbold (Cardwell), and Richard A. Cardwell, a sister in law, L. Sibbald Hereth and a first cousin, Marion Hubbell Dehoney. Following a private cremation friends and family are invited to a memorial visiting Thursday, November 5, 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 P.M at the Powell Funeral Home, Inc., Amityville. Memorial services will be held Friday, November 6, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church, 25 Broadway, Amityville. Interment will take place in the family lot in the Benson Town Cemetery, Fair Haven, Vt. at a later date.
