John James Donnison, Jr.

Born on November 30, 1945 to Rose and John Donnison at the Brooklyn Naval Hospital, John died suddenly on November 25. He is survived by his wife, Joan, sister Kathleen, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents. John's father was a principal in the Seaford School District.

He was an avid boater and car aficionado. A member of the Unqua Corinthian Yacht Club, as well as the Bay Village Civic Association. John had many friends. They also included classmates from St. Mary's in East Islip and Seton Hall High School. John attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

John was a sales representative for Quoizel Lighting. He took on the greater metropolitan area and was instrumental in building that fledgling company into the national powerhouse that it is today.

John was generous, hilariously funny and loved his friends and family deeply.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, November 28th from 2-4:30 & 7-9:30 pm. A funeral service will be conducted by Deacon Michael Aprile at 7:30 pm followed by words of remembrance from family and friends prior to the close of visiting hours. Cremation will be private.
